Dominion: 2009 Spiel de Jahres and 2009 Deutscher Spiele Preis winner for best game
Holiday season is here and games are a great way to spend some quality time with friends and family.
We just received Dominion – a new card based game – winner of the prestigious 2009 Spiel de Jahres (German Game of the Year) and the 2009 Deutscher Spiele Preis (German Game Prize). Winning both of these titles in one year tells you this is a fantastic new game that has been well received by game players and critics alike.
We also have Settlers of Catan (a previous winner of the Spiel de Jahres prize) as well as the expansions and additions for Settlers of Catan.
Both games require thoughtful strategy (and some luck) to win the game and can typically be played in 30 to 45 minutes.

Concow Rising 2010 Calendar
Sutter Buttes 2010 Calendar
The Middle Mountain Foundation has a 2010 calendar with pictures of the famous Sutter Buttes. Proceeds from the sales of this calendar go to the Middle Mountain Foundation to support efforts that maintain enhance the Sutter Buttes for years to come.
To help rebuild the community of Concow after devastating fires, the North Valley Community Foundation in conjuction with the Concow Phoenix Project created a calendar featuring photos and artwork from the Concow area. Proceeds from the sales of this calendar will be used to help in the rebuilding efforts in the Concow area.

Christmas Preview - Downtown Chico
Christmas Preview is coming on Sunday, November 22nd from 4 to 8pm.
Many stores in Downtown Chico are open late so you can get a glimpse of the upcoming holiday shopping season.
Bird in Hand will be open till 8pm and giving out buttons.

One of the newest offerings from YoYoFactory – the MVP is here in two tone color ways. Shown is the grey-purple color way, and also three other color options.

The YoYoFactory MVP is an impressive yo-yo. Great balance, massive rim weight for incredibly long spins and amazingly stable play. The two-tone color ways are very cool too. The YoYoFactory MVP also sports the recently developed Central Bearing Co. Center Trac bearing which features a beveled design to move the string away from the sides of the yo-yo, reducing friction.

Just in from Tommy Bahama®, the Sumatra Stamp camp shirt, in the Great Sea colorway – a very nice deep blue. A very nice, soft hand – 100% rayon.
Also a nice delivery of of new zip sweatshirts, sweat pants, reversible sweatshirts, a new polo shirt, and a great long sleeve.
This week we have lots of new toys and restock of old favorites going up on the shelves daily in the store. The Christmas Preview has captivated our thinking as we prepare for the November 22 extravaganza. Our buttons are always a popular part of Preview and I think everyone will like this years. New ornaments and holiday decorations are a big part of the season for us and we have most of them out and displayed. A few more fixture changes and Christmas cards and wrapping paper will be complete. It takes a lot of work to prep for Preview and the holidays, we hope you enjoy our effort.
YoYoRecreation- Sleipnir
Just arrived!
The Sleipnir – as created for and used by 2009 World Champion Shinya Kido. Featuring a deep-V profile, this design is outstanding for wrap style tricks.
The Sleipnir also has a slightly larger brother, the Clash (we got a couple of the 44Clash special editions). The Clash has the same shape style, with a slightly larger diameter, width, and is a few grams heavier.
