Chico Yo-Yo Club Presents:

The 2008 Chico City Yo-Yo Contest

Saturday, June 7, 2008 on the Main Stage at Chico City Plaza

Registration begins at 9am. Awards at 2pm.

This event is not the big National Yo-Yo Contest in the fall, but a more regional event to showcase our local players. The contest will be held on the first day of summer break for most schools in the area.. The contest is hosted by the Chico Yo-Yo Club which holds free Yo-Yo lessons every Saturday from 12noon to 2pm in Diamond Alley (behind Bird in Hand), and has active members as far away as Redding and Yuba City.

The contest will use the recognized National Yo-Yo League Sport Ladder trick list and will have four age divisions:

• 10 & under
• 11-12 years
• 13-16 years
• 17 & over

In addition, there will be a one-minute Freestyle contest for first timers and advanced players with no age divisions.

Registration is free and spectators are welcome.

Judges will include Chicos own National Yo-Yo Master Thad Winzenz and National Champion Augie Fash.

The contest will be held on the first day of summer break for most schools in the area. Registration will be open to all surrounding communities. The contest is hosted by the Chico Yo-Yo Club which holds free Yo-Yo lessons every Saturday from 12noon to 2pm in Diamond Alley (behind Bird in Hand), and has active members as far away as Redding and Yuba City.

The contest will use the recognized National Yo-Yo League Sport Ladder trick list and will have four age divisions:

• 10 & under
• 11-12 years
• 13-16 years
• 17 & over
