Developed here in Chico, the WaterRipper is a great evolution to the increasingly popular water ball category.
The WaterRipper features a different core design and a true bag type of outer shell (like a footbag) that improves the catching and skipping capacity of the ball.
Unique inner material density allows the WaterRipper to absorb water during play which further facilitates the skipping action of the ball over the top of the water. While it absorbs water, it still floats just at the surface of the water and never sinks.
Tim Leefeldt (Chico local and developer of the WaterRipper) received a great write up in the Chico ER. And of course, we have some of the WaterRipper available at Bird in Hand. Come on in and check it out.
Chico Yo-Yo Company decided to have some fun with the anodizing of the Bulldog yo-yo.
Flames!

A great book for everyone who enjoys the outdoors! The Birds of Bidwell Park is authored locally by Dr. Roger Lederer and illustrated by Dr. Carol Burr, both Professors Emeritus at CSU, Chico.
This book is an illustrated guide to many of the common birds found in Bidwell Park.
Each bird in detailed with some information regarding habitat, common behavior, naming, and more.
A sure way to increase your enjoyment and appreciation of Bidwell Park.
Available in-store, come on in see what else one of the greatest natural wonders in Chico has to offer.
Without a bit of effort on the part of the observer, all birds seem similar. This book is an attempt to give personalities to the many different but most common birds of Bidwell Park. Although not a comprehensive field guide, you should be able to identify virtually all of the birds you are likely to spot in the park during a casual stroll or a long hike any time of year using this book.
Bidwell Park is a wonderful place to see birds because it is both semi-wil and very accessible. It is good birdwatching for both the beginner and expert. Because of the terrain, vegetation, human use, and elevation change, the bird life is a bit different between the western and eastern parts of the park. Nearly 200 species of birds have been seen in Bidwell Park, but some are seen only at certain time of the year and others rarely at any time. This book will introduce you to 86 of these wonderful inhabitants. Enjoy!
